Whitening Results!

Hello everyone! For those of you who don't know, 2 weeks ago I decided to give it a try with Baking Soda to make my teeth a bit whiter and now the time is up!

Overall I do see a difference regarding the few stains I had in my teeth, which are now completely gone (hoorray!), nevertheless I can't really say they are whiter because, sadly, they're not.
Of course, brushing them every day with baking soda left them a lot cleaner than if I did not have done this and i guess now the color is absolutely even in each teeth, BUT, not whiter.

So, if you're thinking about doing this 2 week baking soda challenge I say: go ahead! Why not? Just don't expect professional whitening or whitening kits results because you won't get them.
I'm not uploading pictures of before/after because you can't really tell the difference in camera, like I said, it's pretty darn small.

Anyways, luckily this homemade treatment didn't give me any sensitivity whatsoever :), so if you want to try it, i'll leave you the 4 steps i did every day (once a day) below.

Have a great night!!

1. Grab a teaspoon of Baking soda and mix it with a few drops of water until you have a paste.
2. Brush your front teeth with it.
3. Rinse your mouth and your brush with water
4. Brush normally with your toothpaste

How To: Newspaper nail art!

Hi guys!!
I made a super easy tutorial on how to achieve the newspaper nail look on my youtube channel! It's my first video ever so I'm super excited about it and I'd love it if you could give me feedback about it after watching it :).

What you'll need is:
- Nail buffer, i used the 7-way Buffer from Trim
- Base coat
- White nail polish, i used Valmy in Chalk
- Black nail polish (optional), i used Valmy in Black
- Newspaper cut-outs (one for each finger) at least the size of your fingernail, a little bit bigger is better
- Any clear top coat

Overall tips for manicure:
- Buff the surface of your nails before applying the first coat of nail polish, this will make it stay in longer
- Get a wooden pick or a cuticle remover stick and have it near by, use it when you make little mistakes to remove the paint right away while it's still wet. I find it easier this way and less risky, since you don't need acetone to clean up and there's no chance you can ruin the manicure
- Leave your thumb for last, as silly as it sounds, i find myself more comfortable painting my non dominant hand when my thumb is un-painted lol.

I hope you guys liked this tips and hopefully i'll talk to you next time with another video :)!

Back to School/College

So there's only a few weeks left to enjoy summer, relax and do everything you never have time to do or even nothing at all! cause school time or college time (in my case) is around the corner. And since we all like to start fresh and look our best this upcoming months, I figured I could put up some cute outfits to wear for the first day of class... of course, they can also be worn during all year long :).

I took simple pieces to create each outfit so you can pull them off easily with stuff you probably already own! And, if you like what you see, I'll leave a small description of where to find the item and the aprox price for you to go and get it.

Outfit #1: Easy and comfortable
With this look you can run around from class to class feeling comfortable and looking cute and fun at the same time. The T-shirt and the shoes make this outfit super easy to copy since you probably already have a nice T and snickers like this ones. The earrings and the headband make you look more pull together, and the vest can always be replaced by a cardigan or a chunkier sweater if its too chilly to go out like this.

T-shirt: from oqvestir.com.br (No price specified)

Outfit #2: Cute and girly
This outfit is when you want to feel really pretty and hit the mall or a lunch date after class! The crochet and the floral pattern are two great choices to wear with this look, and depending if you're feeling a little bit more boho or fun you can match it up with some feathers or cute apple earrings. The ballerina shoes and the purse won't get in the way of your crazy schedule since they're both super comfy and easy to wear.
The denim jacket can also be traded for a cardigan or a heavier jacket in the cold fall days.

Bangles: mixit set of assorted bangles from jcpenney (8.99$)
Top: crochet crop top from dressrail.com
Top 2: rose radder top from modcloth.com (33$)

Shoes: motown suede square toe ballet from topshop.com (50$)
Jacket: cropped denim jacket from axparis.co.uk

Outfit #3: Edgy-ish
With this look you'll be right on the spotlight! The fuchsia top with zebra stripes makes the whole outfit come to life! And to make it even more flashy, the faux leather jacket totally completes the look... of course, if you think this last item is too much, you can always wear a nice black jacket or sweater to simplify it.
The skinny black jeans and the bangles add a super cute rockery feel to it, and the black converse with the purple interior match perfectly with your purple backpack.
You can choose to change the converse from some lovely suede boots and still look awesome!

Jeans: YMI stretch extreme crinkle skinny jeans from 15dollarstore.com (15$)

Random Beauty Tips

Well hello there!
Recently i've been looking for some nice products to fix different things that about my appearance that keep bugging me (LOL), and since i got such great results, I wanted to share them with you! :)

1. Pimples B-Gone
OMG you guys, this is like the most freaking helpful tip E-V-E-R!!!! I actually read this one in another blog called CreativegalT, and the only thing i regret is not having read it before!!

Just use TOOTHPASTE and give it around 2 days, and you're done! The pimple is gone!!
All I had to do was, after washing my face at night before going to bed, I applied the smallest amount I could right on the pimple and rubbed it lightly until the color of the toothpaste was gone (you really do need the tiniest amount you can get). The next day the pimple was already like half it size, but even so, i applied a little bit more in the morning and later on at night i did it again. The next morning i had nothing! And I'm like dead serious with this... IT WAS COMPLETELY GONE!!
And, if you're wondering, no, my skin didn't get all dry and hard, BUT, i can't assure you this won't happen to you... all I know is that it's totally worth the shot :).

2. Brighter Smile
I'm actually just starting to do this but I can see some results already.
BAKING SODA is the name, and STAIN REMOVER it's the purpose.

I've read in sooo many places lots of techniques to get whiter teeth at home with stuff you can find in your own kitchen that seem so complicated... ugh... i just feel so lazy just by reading them lol... but then I thought about what my mom always used when we were little and wanted to give it try again.
Just by brushing my teeth with baking soda once a day I get them to feel super clean and stain free! But, I must be honest and say, it's not a miraculous thing that make your teeth paper white, but hey, first: i only been using it for like 2 or 3 days, and second: the only way you can get them like that is with professional whitening or drugstore products :S
Anyways, I decided i will keep hanging on to the product for at least 2 weeks and see if it makes any eye catching difference. I'll take a picture from now and then to compare when I'm done, and, of course, I'll post it here to let you guys know how it went :).

3. Softer Hair
Due to several hair color changes i've made in the past couple of months, my hair is kinda... uh... mad at me, and it's very noticeable trough the split ends, unbelievable frizziness, lack of shine, etc etc etc, so i decided to give him a break and of course pamper him with deep conditioning once a week.
Nevertheless, it takes time to recover and I can't just hide in my room until the time comes when it's decent enough to be looked at in public, right? And that's where Mr Jhon Frieda comes up!
The Jhon Frieda's Frizz-Ease product line is amazing!! I'm not sure i mentioned it in an older post but, seriously, I don't know what I would do without it.
The Hair Serum Extra Strength Formula tames my hair like no other!! Just a dime size amount, like the instructions say, is enough to keep my hair looking super silky and smooth all day! So, if you have problems with your frizzy hair, you can put your trust completely in this product!!

PS: you need to check if it works for you better with wet hair or dry hair, for me, it depends on the weather outside: if it's hot, i apply it on wet hair; if it's cold, i use it on dry hair.
(And, if you're wondering, the deep conditioner i use is Bonawell's Hair Repair Cream Bath Deep Restore)

Ok then, i hope this random tips were helpful and don't forget to check out the Baking Soda results in a few weeks!!
